Zach Dembo Agrees to FOX56 Debate, Looks Forward to Holding Ralph Alvarado Accountable for His Corruption
After Alvarado dodged multiple debate invites, Matt Bevin’s old running mate has finally agreed to join Zach on the debate stage
Lexington, KY – Today, Navy veteran and former federal prosecutor Zach Dembo has agreed to a debate with his opponent, Ralph Alvarado. The only scheduled televised debate between the candidates in Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District will take place on Thursday, October 22, at 7 p.m. on FOX56 in Lexington.
This debate comes as multiple public polls now show Zach taking a lead over Alvarado, and several national race raters moving the likelihood of Zach winning in his direction. Earlier this week, Zach appeared on KET for what was intended to be a debate. Alvarado ultimately declined to join.
Zach Dembo, former federal prosecutor and Navy veteran, released the following statement:
“I’m glad we finally got a debate on the calendar in the final stretch of this race. My campaign has been committed to transparency and making it clear to voters where I stand on the issues. In the spirit of democracy, I look forward to joining Mr. Alvarado on stage so voters can get some clarity about his positions and make an informed decision on November 3rd.
“My priorities have always been making life more affordable for the people I’m lucky enough to call my neighbors and taking on a broken Washington that has left us behind. To do that, we must confront the corruption that has enabled the high costs that are crushing working families in the first place.”
