Zach Dembo Declares Victory In Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District

Dembo: Tonight, we’ve shifted power towards the working people of Central Kentucky

LEXINGTON, KY –  Tonight, ninth-generation Kentuckian, Navy veteran, and former federal prosecutor Zach Dembo declared victory in Kentucky’s open 6th Congressional District.

Dembo’s campaign focused on lowering costs and fighting corruption. His message resonated with Central Kentuckians of all political stripes in a district Trump carried by 15 points in 2024. Rated the underdog throughout most of the campaign, Dembo flipped this now designated “Toss Up” district despite the race being considered Solid Republican at the beginning of the year.

Zach Dembo, the Congressman-elect for Kentucky’s 6th congressional district, released the following statement:

“Tonight, we’ve shifted power away from the Washington insiders whose corruption costs us so much and towards the working people of Central Kentucky. Together, we sent a ninth-generation Kentuckian to the halls of Congress to shake up the status quo.

“This campaign has never been about me, it’s been about Central Kentucky – and every person who has had to decide between filling their gas tank or filling their prescriptions while politicians in Washington keep cashing in for themselves. We sent a message that will be heard far beyond Kentucky: Washington is broken, and we need outsiders to fix it.

“I’m so humbled by everyone who put in countless hours to make this victory possible. Now, the hard work begins. My promise to the people of Central Kentucky is simple: whether you voted for me or not, I will work every single day to fight for you in Washington. That mission-first mindset is the same one I had in the Navy, and it’s the one I will bring with me to Congress to work with anyone – Republican or Democrat – to deliver for Kentucky’s 6th District.”
